Consultation has concluded
The City of Kwinana is seeking registrations of interest for seasonal tenancy of Ngook Boorn Mia-Mia / Honeywood Pavilion.
Ngook Boorn Mia-Mia / Honeywood Pavilion is currently being constructed and will be ready for seasonal tenants by the end of 2022. The facility has been a part of an extensive community consultation process, including community meetings, online surveys, and interviews with key stakeholders such as surrounding residents, the Honeywood Residents Group, Honeywood Primary School, the Local Farmers Market Honeywood, peak sporting bodies, and potential user groups.
The facility is being built on the south-west corner of Honeywood Oval, adjacent to Honeywood Primary School. The oval is shared with Honeywood Primary School who have exclusive access during normal school hours (8am to 4pm). The reserve, cricket nets and adjacent playground facility are well used by the community outside of these hours not only because of its quality green space but because it is an important open space for health, connection and social wellbeing. The oval is a hub for activity each week, and is home to regular community events such as the Local Farmers Market Honeywood.
It is important to note the Registration of Interest is not an application for tenancy. The Registration of Interest process allows the City to understand the needs and expectations of the various clubs and groups wanting to use or apply for tenancy of the facility.
The City encourages all applicants to consider the mixed used of the site and to look for opportunities for partnerships or concurrent use.
Before you complete your registration of interest:
We'll be asking some questions about your club or organisation, so make sure you have those details handy (particularly a break down of members)
