New Staff Introduction - Wendy Murphy

I’m exciting to announce that I am the new Senior Team Leader (Club Development and Health) at the City of Kwinana. I am returning to the City of Kwinana after 13 years at the City of Mandurah where I worked as a Club Development Officer. Previously I was at Kwinana working as Healthy Lifestyle Coordinator and a few of you may remember me if you have been involved with your club for more than 14 years.

A bit about me… I grew up in the Northern Territory where I was a teacher and worked in State Government running the Arafura Games. I have a husband, two active teenage boys and a large dog named Rocky. I have volunteered on sporting club committees for over 30 years and am still actively involved with volunteer work.

I’m looking forward to working with all the Kwinana sporting clubs as I have lots of experience writing and updating constitutions, developing strategic plans, running workshops and I know where to find all the best resources to help clubs with running a club. I’m a whiz with Canva and Facebook and have a very good understanding of how Stack Team App works. I’m very approachable and willing to assist with any issues big or small.

My number is 9439 0283 or email me on clubs@kwinana.wa.gov.au. If you want to meet for a chat to discuss how you are travelling and what you would like to help with, I am happy to meet with you anytime, including after hours as I understand many club volunteers also work.
