The City of Kwinana is inviting your comments on a Development Application for a proposed Child Care Centre on Lot 814 Charing Cross WELLARD.


The Proposal


The key details of the application are as follows:

  • The subject land is located on the southern corner of the intersection of Charing Cross and Hopton Lane, adjacent to the Wellard Train Station.
  • Construction of a single storey building comprising of a total floor area of 621 sqm.
  • Construction of twenty (20) on-site car parking bays.
  • Construction of one (1) new crossover to service the development on the Hopton Lane frontage.
  • Operating hours are proposed to be Monday to Friday 6.30am - 6:00pm (the outdoor play will not be used before 7am)
  • The centre will be serviced by fifteen (15) staff members.
  • The maximum number of children at any one given time is ninety two (92).
