    Business Support Grants

    The City of Kwinana is providing a grant for local businesses of up to $750 for the cost of new closed/open circuit television (CCTV) installations in the City that include a public angle field of view overlooking the road, footpath, front verge, or any other applicable public area that improves the overall security of the business.
    The City of Kwinana Business Support Grant is aimed at increasing the number of CCTV systems in strategic locations within the City. The grant aims to empower local business owners to take ownership of their street and actively contribute to reducing crime.
    Grant applications will be limited to one per business/ABN holder.

    Eligibility Criteria for Businesses to Get a Grant:

    1. The grant amount is up to $750
    2. The business owner must own or have a lease for at least 12 months from the time of grant approval.
    3. The business must have all required permits and licenses to operate.
    4. The proposed works must also have the required approvals.
    5. A written quote for the work is needed.
    6. The grant won't cover wages, stock purchases, or marketing.
    7. The business owner must be the owner-operator.
    8. The project should be finished within three months, unless approved otherwise.
    9. Goods or services should be bought from businesses in the City of Kwinana where possible.
    10. The applicant should not be a member of the Council or an employee of the City.

    Self-Employment Assistance

    Many aspiring business owners understand their craft well but lack the essential business know-how to execute successfully. Business degrees don’t go far enough into praxis - where the rubber hits the road.

    Enter APM who offer the Self-Employment Assistance program, an amazing well-kept secret formerly known as NEIS.

    This fully funded program was extended to offer new business owners and struggling business owners the chance to:

    • Set up / grow their business well (and legally)
    • Accredited training in business management skills, and
    • Receive 12 months mentoring.
    • There is also a fortnightly S-EA Allowance for eligible participants...
    • All at no cost to the recipient. 😍

    APM ensures that those who wish to learn, and grow a business can do so, encouraging aspiring entrepreneurs to access the myriad of free / inexpensive resources currently available. This includes mentoring. As the proverb instructs,
