2025 NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN!

Kwinana Community Awards! We will be taking applications in four categories;

  • Kwinana Person of the Year
  • Kwinana Senior Person of the Year
  • Kwinana Aboriginal Person or Group of the Year
  • Kwinana Group of the Year

Applicants will demonstrate;

  • Significant contribution to the local community,
  • Demonstrated leadership on a community issue resulting in the enhancement of community life,
  • A significant initiative which has brought about positive change and added value to community life, and/or
  • Inspiring qualities as a role model for the community.

Please note that self nominations, or nominations of an immediate family member will not be considered.

Our Kwinana young people will be recognised by way of a separate awards process at the annual LYRiK Awards.

Nominations close on 5th January 2025 at 5pm.

PRIZES

Each of our category winners will not only take home the honour of being recognised as an outstanding community member, they will also receive a suite of prizes to recognise their contribution to the Kwinana community.

Each winner will receive a prize package valued at $2,000 including;

  • A framed certificate
  • A trophy
  • Their name on the City of Kwinana Honour's Board inside the Kwinana Library
  • $250 Gift Voucher
  • $600 capacity building grant for the winner's chosen Kwinana club or organisation (or a donation to a not-for-profit charity if the winner isn't affiliated with a local group). This can be used for things like running training courses, engage a specialist to help with governance, accessibility or marketing, or for small equipment purchases.
  • $1,000 contribution towards an event of their choosing, ideally within the club or orgnaisation they volunteer with, where the certificate and trophy will be presented by the Mayor or their representative, This could be at the club end of year wind up, a social gathering or fundraiser. City Officers will work with the winner on how to best spend this money.
