The Wellard Place Plan is a guide for working together to create the best Wellard possible.

In developing The Plan, we asked the Wellard Community four important questions:

  • What do you love about Wellard?
  • What things would you do to improve Wellard that can be done right away and wouldn’t cost a lot?
  • What changes would you make in the long term that would have the biggest impact?
  • How would you like to be involved?

From the feedback received, we developed the Wellard Place Plan, focusing on the neighbourhood centre including Wellard Square, the Wellard Train Station and Pimlico Gardens. As well as providing a snapshot of the unique character of Wellard, the document sets out guiding principles for working together, and a unique action plan for activating the area over the next 2 years.

We are currently working to implement the ideas and actions set out in The Plan. If you would like to get involved, are interested in knowing more or would like to chat about your ideas for Wellard, we would love to hear from you!

    Informed by the Wellard Place Plan, the City is with RAC through its Reconnect WA initiative, to makeover Wellard Village in just 7 days!

    You're invited to share ideas, vote, plan and help deliver placemaking projects over seven consecutive days in April 2023. The Wellard Village 7DM also incorporates a youth-specific element, through which local young people will be empowered to plan and deliver their own projects.
