Australian Sports Commission (AIS) - Coaching Women and Girls Initiative
Australian Sports Commission have established a Coaching Women and Girls initiative to support coaches in community sport to create safe, inclusive, welcoming and fun environments for women and girls.
This initiative aims to:
- Provide information, resources and targeted support relating to key consideration for women and girls in community sport.
- Support those in coaching, officiating and other key roles in community sport (such as volunteers) to create fun, safe, inclusive and welcoming environments for women and girls in community sport.
- Collaborate widely with the community sport ecosystem to ensure the initiative is appropriately targeted and needs based.
- Highlight the unique experiences of womanhood and girlhood and support others to enhance the experiences for women and girls in community sport.
